Starring Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Danny Denzongpa & Rana Daggubati as primary characters, it was released in 2015 and was a commercial success across India. The movie is a thrilling account of raw agents Akshay Kumar and his team who try to take down notorious terrorists who have been guilty of terrorism in India in the past and are again on the path to unleash the same fate again. The plot is inspired by real-life incidents and it keeps you engaged throughout the story.

Naam Shabana 

Talk about a powerful performance and a strong and indestructible female lead character in form of a spy, then Naam Shabana checks all the boxes that there are. This one was released 2 years after years of baby and it lived up to the expectations of the fans and the critics liked Tapsee Pannu’s performance in the movie as Shabana. It is an origin story of the character we meet in baby and it also gives us a glimpse of the older days of the Indian intelligence agency and the formation of the offshoot baby. It is a well-executed and entertaining Indian spy movie by all accounts.

Raazi 

This movie was called by critics Alia Bhatt's best performance to date and it had all the reasons for such a positive review. Raazi is the story of a female spy of RAW who works behind enemy lines while living in the center of the hornet's nest. This flick is a stunning portrayal of espionage and the risks that a spy faces when working in the enemy's courtyard. Along with Alia, Vicky Kaushal also gives a compelling supporting performance in the movie. A great Indian spy movie to give you a big rush.

Madras cafe

Based on the real historical backdrop of the Sri Lankan Civil wat in the early 90s and India's involvement in the whole scenario. The hostilities of the LTTE terrorist outfit in Sri Lanka and the involvement of Indian armed forces and intelligence agencies in the country. The story of the movie is based on the above context and the assassination of then Indian PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi. John Abraham plays the lead role of an Indian Army special officer, appointed in Jaffna by RAW. It is an authentic, true to realism and thrilling movie to watch. One of the very best Indian spy movies.

D-day

This multi-starer spy thriller is a treat to watch. The story is about a raw operation that has been running for almost a decade to neutralise the most wanted terrorist and underworld don of India, Goldman. A character which is based on Daud Ibrahim in real life. The superbly talented and seasoned cast of the movie is its highlight. Especially Late Rishi Kapoor and Late Irfan khan in two of the pivotal roles. This one surely makes its way into our raw agent movie list.
