The Kashmir Files movie plot:

The storyline of the film is given by Vivek Agnihotri and Sourabh M Pandey. the movie is set in the 1990s. In the times, about a half-million of the Kashmiri Pandits were tortured by the Islami gangs. The brutal actions even led to the death of a judge from the Srinagar High court. There were murders and rapes all over the place. The Kashmiri Pandits had no option but to run away. Or else, they could stay there and hand over themselves to the gangs only to get shoot and humiliated.

The film kickstart with the commentary of a cricket match. A Hindu boy, Shiva gets beaten up by some of the Muslim boys. They were asking that boy to shout Pakistan Zindabad. Another boy, Abdul helps Shiva in running away to protect himself. Just after the incident, Muslims set the houses of Pandits on fire. They were threatening them to either accept Islam or die.

The Kashmir Files cast has depicted the story that makes it look like the real one.

Next, we see, that some of the terrorists knock at Anupam Kher's house. Seeing the same, Sharda hides her husband behind a drum. But, all her efforts were in vain. The group of terrorists set the drum on fire. Sharda has to eat the rice soaked in his husband's blood to save her family. The heart sinks on watching this horrible scene.

The Kashmir Files movie leaps here. Sharda's youngest son, Krishna has grown up and is a student at JNU. The professor, Radhika Menon brainwashed him. But to his grandfather's last wish, Krishna travels back to Kashmir to put his grandfather's ashes at his home along with some of his good friends. They were IAS, DGP, and journalists. Here, Krishna comes across the harsh truth. He decides to reveal the same to everyone.

Before the interval of the Kashmir Files movie, Shiva, Krishna and Sharda could be seen migrating to another place along with other Kashmiri Pandits. They all had to leave their hometown only to save their families. The migrants did not bring their belongings with them. That time, they could only think about their lives.

They all could be seen living at Purkhoo in tents. Later, these tents were converted into quarters. Many people died by then as they became prey to the snake bite or the scorching heat. The Kashmir Files cast has portrayed the characters with such honesty that the viewers feel the pain and suffering.

The climax of the Kashmir Files movie provides proof of inhumanity. The leader of the terrorist group, Bitta, strips off the clothes of Sharda in front of all the people. Then, he cuts Sharda's body into two pieces.

All the scenes portrayed in the film are not fictional but real. The makers of the film have recreated the scene of the Madimarg massacre that was all about the killing of about 24 Kashmiri Pandits in the year 2003.
