Liger film pre-production:

The makers had announced the production of the Liger movie was announced in the year 2019. But the makers had not announced in January 2021. The makers had planned the film to get released earlier. But due to pandemics, the makers had to bring a halt to the production and shooting. The principal photography for the film had begun in January 2020. But due to the pandemic situation, the shooting had to be stopped. Later the shooting resumed in February 2021. The shooting finally got wrapped up in February 2022.

The makers of Bollywood and the Telugu film industry have come together to produce this sports film in both Hindi and Telugu languages. Vijay Deverkonsa, the male lead of the film had been finalized for the role earlier.

He had undergone a drastic physical change to play the role of a kickboxer on the big screen. He has received training in martial arts from Thailand. For the female lead, the makers had approached Jahnvi Kapoor. But she had to refuse the Liger film owing to her prior commitments and date issues for the shooting of the film. Later, Ananya Pandey was approached for the role. She did not miss but grabbed the golden opportunity. Later, the popular boxer, Mike Tyson was approached to play a cameo sequence in the film. Hence, this is how the makers joined the cast of the film. In the Liger movie Mike Tyson is making his acting debut.

Earlier, the makers had thought of naming the Liger film Fighter. But later, the unit decided to name the film after the name of the main lead of the film.

The shooting for the film kick-started in Mumbai on the 20th of January 2020. After about 40 days of shoot, the makers had to put a coma on the filming due to the rising COVID cases in the city and the entire country. Later, the shoot resumed in February 2021 in Hyderabad. But the second wave of COVID 19 hit the city and the nation and again the makers had to stop the shooting of the film. Then, the shoot began again in September 2021. The cast moved to Las Vegas in November 2021 to shoot the remaining portions of the Liger movie. Finally, the shoot ended in February 2022. And the makers decided the Liger release date to be the 25th of August 2022.

The music for Vijay Deverakonda Liger movie is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Vikram Montrose.

To date, the makers have released two songs from the album of the Liger movie. The two songs have been released in multiple languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The title song of the film, The "Liger Hunt Theme" was released on Vijay Deverakonda's birthday. The date was the 9th of May 2022. Farhad Bahiwandiwala has sung the title song of the Liger movie in the Hindi language.

Later, the makers released the second song on the 11th of July 2022. The song title is Akdi Pakdi. The Hindi version of this song has been sung by Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey, and Liojo George, with a running time of 3 minutes and 50 seconds.
