Karthikeya is a physician from Hyderabad who respects reason and science. Karthikeya travels to Dwaraka with his mother and uncle Sadananda, a follower of Lord Krishna, to fulfill a commitment made by his mother years earlier. A wounded Rao, an archeologist researcher, runs into Karthikeya one night to tell him something, but he is kidnapped before Karthikeya can get him to the hospital. Karthikeya is held by the authorities after his mother goes missing the next day, and he is charged with murder. The police questioned Karthikeya about the information Roa had told him.
Karthikeya is saved from the police by Mugdha, Rao's granddaughter. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure tries to assassinate Karthikeya but backs off when he spots the idol of Lord Krishna. Later, to solve the mystery, Karthikeya locates his mother and invites her to participate in the 11-day Krishna Bhajan festival. It is revealed that Santanu, a different professor seeking the anklet, assassinated Rao and informed police officers about Karthikeya. Shantanu offers a reward for anyone who can locate Karthikeya and Mugdha.
When they arrive, the villagers catch them in exchange for the reward, but they manage to escape. With the aid of the peacock-shaped device, they ascend the hill and remove a telescope. The following day, Mugdha makes off with the telescope, but Santanu's men catch Karthikeya and the others and abandon them to their deaths in the Runn of Kutch.
Towards the end of the movie, in the cave, Krishna's idol is held by Karthikeya after he joins the telescope and item in the shape of a peacock to escape Santunu's enforcers. The idol rotates, revealing a tunnel below ground lined with snakes leading to the anklet. When Karthikeya successfully recovers the anklet, he becomes famous all over the country for doing so. Santanu informs Karthikeya that Krishna's history stretches from the Atlantic and Greece to Dwaraka and Mathura. Karthikeya rejects his attempts to persuade him to join Conch, claiming that his intentions and deeds deserve a painful end. He is then brutally murdered by Abheera shortly after.
