The movie starts at the house of a breeder. He cages so many dogs and tortures them.

One Labrador puppy gets a chance and escapes for that house. The puppy reaches the colony where Dharma lives. Dharma enjoys his own company. He does not get to socialize with the people around him. He works at a factory, smokes, and watches Charlie Chaplin's show on TV. His world revolves around these three things only. His family members died in a car accident because of a street dog. His life is monotonous, and he does not like talking to people. There was a music fest going o the colony when the puppy reached there. On the other hand, Dharma also got enraged due to the noise. In a fit of rage, he broke some musical instruments. The puppy saw Dharma as his savior. The puppy follows Dharma. The puppy took shelter in a dustbin.

Dharma meets Karshan Roy with the help of a dog license expert, Devika. Dharma, along with Charlie, leaves for Punjab. In Punjab, they meet Vamshi and her dog Blacky. Vamsi is a dog lover. She provides them free passes to a dog competition. Charlie does a long jump and wins the competition.

On their way to their next destination, some army officers stop the bus and tell them that a landslide has occurred. So no one has the permission to go ahead. But Dharma requests an officer. He permits Dharma and Charlie to go to Kashmir. They both sneak out, play in the snow and return to the camp. The next day, Charlie goes missing. Dharma tries to find her. Finally, Dharma sports Charlie at a temple. She thanks Dharma with her gestures. Charlie breathes her last in Dharma's arms. Dharma feels distraught. But to his surprise, Dharma spots a puppy inside the temple. He realizes that Charlie has gifted him a puppy because she knew he couldn't survive without her.
